Local candidate Clayton Soultz, a Christian and member of the Libertarian Party who recently won a seat on the Jonesboro City Council, joins the show to discuss the compatibility of libertarianism and Christianity, and why Christians should be involved in politics at the local level to make a real impact in their communities and hold government officials accountable. Clayton also offers advice for Christians considering running for local office.


Clayton is a fifth-generation resident of Grant County, Indiana, raised the son of a Wesleyan pastor, earning an economics degree at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is also is the chair of his local county affiliate of the Libertarian party, secretary of the state affiliate, and just became the first elected Libertarian in Grant County history by winning a seat on the Jonesboro city council. He is also the secretary of his local church.
