Your Vote Doesn't Matter? Here Is the Biblical Reality
Anatomy of the Church and State
Not Voting is Unbiblical
Not voting is unbiblical and Scripture has a verdict. 65 million Christians currently plan on abstaining from voting in the midterm elections, and four holy-sounding excuses are doing the work.
In this episode of Biblical Referee, I put every one of those excuses on the record and rule on it. From "I trust God, not politicians" to "both sides are bad" to "my citizenship is in heaven" to "my vote doesn't matter anyway" — each one sounds spiritual. Scripture doesn't let any of them stand.
We start with a childcare analogy that makes the whole thing obvious, move through moral pietism, settle what it actually means to vote for principles instead of a candidate, and close with the final verdict.
If you're a Christian wrestling with whether to vote at all, this one is for you.
